    Sit somewhere quiet and comfortable
    Inhale slowly through your nose (count 1-2-3-4)
    Then exhale slowly through your nose (count 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8).

2. Don't smoke

Smoking habits can cause various diseases in the lungs. Some of them are asthma, COPD, and lung cancer.

Every time you smoke, thousands of chemicals enter your lungs, including nicotine, carbon monoxide, and tar. These toxins can increase mucus and damage the tissue in the lungs, making it harder for you to breathe.

3. Exercising

In addition to avoiding smoking, exercising regularly is also very important for lung health. When you exercise, your lungs work hard to supply oxygen throughout your body, while expelling carbon dioxide from your body.

That way, the lungs will become stronger and healthier. Although you will eventually develop lung disease, exercise can help slow the disease from progressing.

4. Avoid air pollution
