Many argue about coffee and tea. Actually, both of them have their own advantages. The choice depends on your needs and of course from each taste. But, if you are still confused about what you should order at lunch later,
Quoted from the UK Telegraph,
here are some comparisons of the two drinks.

1.Want strong bones?

Research has long linked black tea to increased bone strength. But said Euan MacLennan, medical herbalist, the benefits of green tea may be greater. He cited a study from Texas, which was published in 2013 in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

"It was found that the compound epigallocatechin (EGCG), which is abundant in green tea, can reduce the number of osteoclasts in the body - these are the cells that break down bone - and increase the number and activity of osteoblasts, bone-building cells. Green tea too can help if you need to speed up the healing process of fractures. "

Coffee may not increase bone strength, but according to a report by the Society for Experimental Biology, by sports scientists at Coventry University in June 2012, caffeine does increase muscle strength in older people. So, a cup of coffee can help older people maintain their strength so as to reduce the incidence of falls and injuries.

However, tea is no less cool. Compounds in black tea can help the intestines fight infection and prevent severe influenza, say scientists at the University of Washington Medical School in the latest issue of the journal, Science.

2. Healthier digestion

Researchers at the University of Southern California (USC) of the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center of the Keck Medicine of USC report that coffee consumption reduces the risk of colorectal cancer.

"We found the more coffee consumed, the lower the risk," said Dr. Stephen Gruber, director of USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and senior author of the study. Indications of a reduced risk are seen in all types of coffee, both caffeinated and decaffeinated.

3. The best antioxidants

Both coffee and tea contain many antioxidants called polyphenols, nutrients that can help reduce inflammation and repair cell damage. Dr. Bob Arnot, author of Coffee Lover's Diet revealed how to get the most health benefits from these drinks.

"We now know that the driving force behind many diseases such as heart disease and stroke is inflammation, which is something polyphenols can help. And coffee contains two and a half times more polyphenols than the average tea." But he also warned that there were differences in the content depending on the brand consumed.

4. The best for heart health

Coffee and tea have been linked to reduced cardiovascular disease. Dutch research, published in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology: Journal of the American Heart Association in 2010, found that drinking more than six cups of tea per day was associated with a 36 percent lower risk of heart disease compared to those who drank less than one cup tea per day.

Coffee drinkers with cups two to four per day have a 20 percent lower risk of heart disease compared to those who drink less than two or more than four cups.

"Polyphenols can help the heart," said Dr. Arnot, "but if you are a slow caffeine metabolizer, it can cause a higher increase in blood pressure and pulse. Know your caffeine tolerance level and how much is in the coffee you bought at store. No one can consume more than 400 mg of caffeine a day (equivalent to four espresso). "
