This woman's whole body is swollen because of 'work allergies', how come?
Caitlin Taylor, a 30-year-old bank worker from England, experienced red swelling all over her body. The tests he underwent were fruitless. Apparently, Caitlin is allergic to work. How come?
"It was really scary. I woke up and my body was covered in these rashes. I couldn't breathe and see clearly. My body looked like it had been burned or attacked by aliens. It was so painful," he said.
Cailtin works every day from 7:00 to 22:30. Plus, the train journey between home and work is 1.5 hours each way.
Even though her condition kept getting worse, Caitlin still forced her body to work. Over time, stress and anxiety also eat away at his body.
"Initially, I was really stressed and anxiety creeped in. Then my body condition worsened. The rash on my head was really bad. My skin was really swollen."
"When I looked in the mirror I could see my whole face was swollen. The pharmacy said it was an allergic reaction and gave me an antihistamine, but it got worse and spread all over my neck, arms and chest. I started having panic attacks."
Based on blood tests, Caitlin was diagnosed with allergy symptoms. However, doctors never managed to find the trigger. He was advised to take steroid drugs so that his body weight increased. Never recovered, his self-confidence even plummeted.
After undergoing intense treatment for 3 weeks, doctors suspected Caitlin's allergy was triggered by stress. To overcome this, the doctor advised Caitlin to slowly reduce her drug consumption.
Unable to stand her condition anymore, Caitlin took a desperate step. He stopped working and withdrawn all his savings to travel. Starting from a romantic trip in Spain, having fun in New Zealand, Sweden, to learning yoga in Bali.
"I left everything behind and had no plans. I was scared, I cried when I flew out, but I had the best time the whole trip," says Caitlin.
"I found a new way to live," he concluded.
