Banana and Orange Overdosage, Men Are Paralyzed Potassium Poisoning

Eating fruits is certainly very good for the body. However, like everything else, when too much fruit is eaten it still has a bad effect on health.

As experienced by Chinese men, Wang (60), suffered paralysis and numbness when consuming too much fruit and had to be taken to a hospital.

Quoted from the World of Buzz page, when at the hospital, doctors diagnosed his condition very seriously. After conducting a series of tests, the doctor was shocked by the fact that Wang's paralysis condition was related to his habit of eating too much fruit.

"Wang has a tendency to eat a lot of fruit because he feels this is a healthy habit but he is really overrated," the site reported.
It was reported that Wang ate 2.5 kg of bananas and 3 kg of oranges in one week because he felt that eating fruits was healthy. In addition, this incident was also triggered by Wang's kidney which was not functioning properly.

Because the fruits that he consumes, namely oranges and bananas contain high potassium, this is very detrimental to his kidneys. Because, the kidneys cannot remove extra potassium from the fruit which can cause hyperkalemia. In serious cases it can even cause paralysis or chronic heart disease and endanger his life.

Doctors recommend that people who have kidney disease should not consume foods high in potassium such as potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, or oranges so that the kidneys don't work too much.
